NCM plays each Stockfish dev build 20,000 times against Stockfish 14. This yields an approximate Elo difference and establishes confidence in the strength of the dev builds.

Further smplify pawn endgames
Dumb down a bit the code and trade some possible
speed (but this is far from hot path anyhow) for
some added readability for the layman.
