NCM plays each Stockfish dev build 20,000 times against Stockfish 15. This yields an approximate Elo difference and establishes confidence in the strength of the dev builds.

Do not set default value for architeture in Makefile
Fixes a regression that ARCH parameter was not properly validated.
Invalid value would default to generic 32-bit build.
No functional change.
